About Ahomdoo
Ahomdoo makes cat scratching posts and cat furniture for people whose cats have already rejected everything else.
Why we exist
Most cat scratching posts fail for one reason, and it is not the material. It is that they move.
A cat leans its full weight into a scratch. If the post shifts even slightly, the cat treats it as unsafe — and cats do not give a wobbly post a second chance. One bad experience is permanent.
We build around that single fact.
What we pay attention to
- Height. A post has to let a cat stand on its hind legs and extend fully. Anything shorter is a cat scratching in a crouch, which is not what the behaviour is for.
- What the rope is made of. We use cotton rope rather than sisal. Cats chew and swallow loose sisal fibres, and owners tell us they end up replacing frayed sisal posts again and again.
- The base. This is the part nobody photographs and everybody feels. It decides whether the post stays upright when a cat throws itself at it.
How we learn
Everything above came from reading what buyers actually wrote — thousands of reviews, including the unhappy ones. We would rather read a one-star review carefully than run another focus group.
If something we made did not hold up for you, tell us. That is the feedback that changes the next version.
